There’s a rumor going around that Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar could declare for the 2025 NFL Draft on one condition.
The 20-year-old Drew Allar will look to extend his dream 2024 season when the Nittany Lions play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Orange Bowl on Thursday. The winner of that game will face the victor of Texas vs. Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Compared to previous years, the 2025 NFL Draft isn’t exactly considered a deep one for quarterbacks. Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward headline the QB class, with both among the early front-runners to go first overall.
Buffaloes two-way star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter is the consensus top prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. A lot can change between now and April, but Hunter, Sanders and Ward appear to be the early favorites to round out the top-three.
Interestingly, the @NFLNotify X/Twitter account claims there’s buzz around the NFL that Drew Allar would declare for the 2025 draft if he knew he’d be a top-three pick.
Questions about Allar’s football future will have to wait until after the Orange Bowl. For now, he and the Nittany Lions have a game to focus on.
