Some argued the website could be useful if used in the right way
There are millions of websites floating around the internet, but one which has been branded as the ‘most disturbing’ of the lot shows the terrifying capability of AI technology.
I think it’s safe to say there are some very weird and creepy corners of the web – and that’s not even mentioning places like the dark web, where all kinds of illicit activity goes down.
But with the rise in AI technology, some websites are putting it to great use, with one particular site being dubbed the ‘most disturbing website on the internet’.
Many social media users were left a bit worried after realizing there is a site that can find every singe image of you… images of you online, that is.

It’s all thanks to a website called PimEyes, though I’m not sure many will be thankful after seeing what it has in store.
On the site, you provide a photo of yourself, where it will then search the rest of the internet and use AI to find any other snaps of you.
In theory, it can find any pictures of you that have been posted to social media sites.
The basic service on offer from PimEyes is free, and you simply need to upload a snap of yourself and then search.
Within a minute or two you’ll be presented with pictures of yourself from anywhere they’re currently sitting on the internet, even the embarrassing ones your mom posted to Facebook from that family holiday in 2007.
However, it’s not always 100 percent perfect so you might find the odd ‘likeness’ thrown in for good measure.

This could prove useful for those hoping to have pictures of them removed from the web.
One person said the website was ‘disturbing but also extremely valuable’ and praised it for ‘finding who has used my face without my consent’ so they could order websites to take down the pictures.
However, another branded it ‘a stalker’s dream’.
A third then described how she uploaded a recent picture of herself and PimEyes recognized a picture of her on the internet from when she was 10 years old.
Whether you find it creepy or interesting, the site does provide an option for those to have unwanted snaps removed from the public domain, which is a plus.
