This week, NFL owners passed a vote that has allowed former NFL quarterback Tom Brady to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. This huge news could change how many people, including Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, look at the team.
After his ownership was approved, Brady took to Instagram to release a statement about his new role with the team.
However, what is interesting is that Shedeur himself liked the post.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a big story because anyone can like an Instagram post, and it does not mean much, but this isn’t the first time Sanders has been linked to the Raiders.
In October, Shedeur attended a playoff game for the WBNA team, the Las Vegas Aces, owned by Raiders owner Mark Davis.
The pair were very friendly, and Davis even told Shedeur, “Who Knows? You might be home right now.”
It now feels like a trail of breadcrumbs that Shedeur and Raider’s figureheads are leaving until the young quarterback possibly ends up in Las Vegas.
Of course, though, it could all just be smoke and mirrors.
Shedeur Sanders Is Playing His Way Up Draft Boards
Going into the college football season, Shedeur was considered a first-round pick, but the exact landing spot was uncertain.
However, he has quickly skyrocketed into the conversation of being a top-10 pick or possibly the No. 1.
Through six games with Colorado, he has completed 172 of 237 passes for 2,018 yards, 17 touchdowns, and four interceptions for a 164.4 rating.
He’s now in competition with players like Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Miami’s Cam Ward to be the first quarterback off the board come draft time.
If the season ended today, Las Vegas would have the eleventh pick, likely putting them out of reach for Sanders.
