Davante Adams has a new home.
The Las Vegas Raiders had yet to make any leeway to make a trade involving star wide receiver Davante Adams, until Tuesday.
The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly trading the All-Pro wide receiver to the New York Jets, less than 24 hours after the Jets endured an embarrassing 23-20 loss at home to the Buffalo Bills.
Adam Schefter of ESPN added that the New York Jets were going to send a conditional third-round pick that could improve to a second-round if Adams plays well.
It took a couple of weeks, but the two sides finally figured out something.
Antonio Pierce Liked Instagram Comment On Davante Adams Trade Rumors Provd To be True
Antonio Pierce may have tipped his hand about his opinion on wide receiver Davante Adams, but it ultimately came true.
The Las Vegas Raiders head coach liked an Instagram post in which Sports Illustrated’s Michael Fabiano reported that Adams may have “already played his last snap with the Raiders.”
That was correct, as the Jets are acquiring the Raiders WR in a trade.
It was further added the Jets were giving up a conditional third-round pick that could improve to a second-round selection based on Adams’ performance.
The marriage is over and now the Jets have a star on offense that could possibly turn their season around.
The Raiders, on the other hand, are back to square one on where the franchise is going in the future.
