Some college football fans weren’t exactly impressed with what they saw from Colorado Buffaloes two-way superstar Travis Hunter at his pro day.
The Buffaloes held their pro day on Friday, with NFL coaches, executives and scouts there to get another close-up look at top prospects before the draft. Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders, both among the premier prospects in this year’s class, headlined the group at Colorado’s pro day.
Hunter decided not to work out at his pro day, but he gave interested teams a close-up look at his route-running tree:
Let’s just say that football fans weren’t sold on Travis Hunter’s route running, though. In fact, they were poking a lot of fun at the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner:
“This the route you run on your 10 year old nephew at Thanksgiving off a few drinks,” one fan wrote.
“Wtf was that? The skibitty whoopty doo shuffle?” asked another.
“What kind of route was that? Looked more like he will be on dancing with the stars!” a fan asked.
“Weak ur QB ain’t got that much damn time especially when DB will be getting his hands on u during all that damn wiggle. Hunter OverRated as a WR,” quipped another.
“that route is NEVER working in a game,” said a fan.
“I’m not impressed by that video,” wrote a user.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Travis Hunter had a historic 2024 season that saw him catch 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he had four interceptions and 11 pass breakups.
In 2023, Hunter caught 57 passes for 721 yards and five touchdowns to go along with three interceptions and five pass breakups. Had he not missed time to injury, Hunter just might have been a serious contender for the Heisman.
Travis Hunter Will Likely Be A Top-3 Pick

At this point, it’s widely expected that the Tennessee Titans will use the top pick on Miami quarterback Cam Ward. If the Cleveland Browns don’t take Hunter at No. 2, it’d be a stunner if the New York Giants (No. 3) passed on him.
