Taylor Swift’s Airtime At Super Bowl Compared To Last Year’s Drastically Changed

Taylor Swift’s airtime was very different at this year’s Super Bowl compared to previous years.

Swift was in the crowd watching her boyfriend Travis Kelce on Sunday’s game.

When the camera panned round to the singer, the crowd clearly booed her. (below)Serena Williams was one of many who took to social media to share her support of the star. She wrote: “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”

Thousands of fans have also shared their support.

One wrote: “Eagles fans are booing her. She’s originally from Philly area but obviously rooting for Travis and chiefs.”

Another user commented: “The booos are from eagles fans aka the opposite team she supports this is normal.”

While a third penned: “Grown a** men booing taylor swift seriously get a grip.”

Swift appeared unfazed by the boos, smiling and looking confused while she appeared to say “What’s going on?”.

One person commented “Is she really so oblivious? The NFL fan base isn’t her fanbase. Why would people cheer for her?” while another questioned “What exactly did she do to everyone?”.

After complaints from previous years about how often the camera cut to the singer, this year fans noticed a significant drop in the amount of time she was on our screens.

Last year’s Super Bowl saw Swift appear 12 times for a total of 54 seconds. Despite only taking up such a small amount of time, fans still complained at it appears their complaints were heard.

This year, the camera only cut to her once.

Some fans believe that the camera was waiting for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, to do something noteworthy to get her reaction on camera and that is the reason we got less Swift screen time. One person tweeted: “Travis Kelce just didn’t do anything. 4 receptions on 6 targets, for 39 yards. Much less reason to show her when there’s not much for her to react to.”

President Trump was also in attendance and did not get booed by the fans.

Trump seemed to get cheered as the camera panned to him – being the first US president to attend the Super Bowl.
