Serena Williams’ Husband Responds To Divorce Advice Following Her Controversial Crip Walk At Super Bowl 59

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, has responded to divorce advice from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith following the tennis icon’s controversial appearance during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Williams joined Kendrick Lamar for his performance on the night and was seen crip walking while he sang “Not Like Us,” an act many interpreted as a shot at her ex, Drake.

The 43-year-old upset lots of people and has taken quite a bit of heat for crip walking, given that her sister was murdered by members of the Crips gang 22 years ago. Stephen A was opposed to it for a different reason, however.

The ‘First Take’ host said he would have moved on from Serena if he were her husband, as it appears she still has her ex on her mind.

“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**. Cause clearly you don’t belong with me,” he said on Monday’s show. “What you worried about him for and you’re with me?”

Ohanian, who is pretty active on social media, having founded one himself (Reddit), has responded to Smith, making a thinly-veiled threat.“Armenian men: we’re a little extreme when it comes to family,” he wrote after a fan called the ESPN star a “weirdo.”

The entrepreneur, who was said to be worth $150 million as of 2024, also fired back at Jason Whitlock, suggesting that the ‘Fearless’ show host is disappointed in himself for peaking at high school.

“There’s still time to rewrite the ending — start by working on yourself first. You’ll find that if you wake up every morning trying to be a little better, a little more curious, you won’t have time for irrational hating — you’ll be too busy winning,” he said as part of his response to the former FOX talent after Whitlock referred to him as a “beta” and a “simp.”

Serena Williams married Alexis Ohanian in 2017 after their engagement the year prior. They have two daughters together.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner has refused to back down following the criticism over her crip walk, having celebrated the moment via social media on multiple occasions.
