The Minnesota Vikings’ season is over, rather shockingly, with the NFC outfit having lost to a Los Angeles Rams team that was all about business on Monday night.
Both teams ended up on the road as the Wild Card fixture had to be played in Arizona due to the L.A. wildfires.
Given the damage and loss of life, it’s been difficult for anyone affiliated with the city. It appears the Rams were extra motivated as their defense came out to eat in a 27-9 victory, with a single touchdown allowed.
Some NFL fans, however, reckon it’s all part of the script and that the Vikings were “sacrificed” to push a storyline.
“Small market Minnesota being sacrificed for the story line of how resilient the city of LA is,” an account shared to X in the buildup to the game.
