Philadelphia Eagles fans couldn’t help but taunt Jerry Jones during their beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
Despite Jalen Hurts missing Sunday’s game because of a concussion, the Eagles dismantled Jerry Jones’ Cowboys 41-7 to secure the season-series sweep. Saquon Barkley also joined the 2,000 rushing yard club after racking up 167 yards on the ground.
With the game out of hand, the boisterous Eagles crowd taunted Jones and the visitors by chanting “Dallas sucks.” Jones sat there expressionless as the Philly faithful rubbed the salt in the wound:
The loss dropped Dallas to 7-9, clinching just their second losing season since 2016. This also marked the first time where the Cowboys were swept by Philly in the season series since the 2011 campaign.
Another Ugly Chapter In Forgettable Season For Jerry Jones & Cowboys
This season has been a complete disappointment for Dallas, who had high expectations after recording three straight 12-win seasons that included two NFC East division crowns.
But getting swept in the season series by the archrival Eagles may be the real low of 2024, especially since they didn’t have Hurts in this one. Even with backup QB Kenny Pickett leaving the game to injury, the Philly offense didn’t miss a beat with third-stringer Tanner McKee taking over under center.
