College Suspends Classes After Dead Body Of 18-Year-Old Football Star Is Discovered On Campus

Saint Francis University has chosen to cancel classes following the death of student-athlete Kevon Walker.

Walker, a promising defensive lineman with the uni’s football program, was found dead in his dorm room earlier this week. He was only 18 years old.

The teenager is understood to have been feeling ill for a few days before his dead body was discovered by his teammates. An official cause of death has not been revealed, but an investigation is underway, although foul play isn’t suspected.

Kevon’s aunt, Ruby White, disclosed the terrible development in a Facebook post.

“Please Pray for my Family,” she wrote. “We lost a great inspiring young man. R.I.P Nephew.

“I Love You [and] you will Truly be missed.”

Saint Francis has since suspended classes so students could mourn.

“The entirety of the department is heartbroken over the tragic and untimely loss of Kevon,” James Downer, the school’s athletic director, said in a statement.

“Although his time at Saint Francis was short, he made a positive impact on the football program, was well-liked and respected among the team, and showed the promise of a very bright future with the Red Flash.

“Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with Kevon’s family, loved ones, teammates, and coaches during this incredibly challenging time.”

Kevon Walker’s Mother Has Disclosed An Unofficial Cause Of Death

Kevon Walker’s passing has triggered rife grief around the Saint Francis campus and his hometown of Buffalo, New York, especially Canisius High School, where he graduated earlier this year.

While there’s no evidence of foul play, Walker’s cause of death is pending toxicology and pathology reports.

His mother has since indicated that the teen died from natural causes, with sepsis cited ahead of the official test results.
