FOX Sports NFL analyst and legendary quarterback Tom Brady has revealed his list of the top five teams heading into Week 3.
The 47-year-old Tom Brady is two weeks through the 10-year, $375 million contract he signed with FOX Sports in 2022. The seven-time Super Bowl champion and play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt will be on the call for the Dallas Cowboys-Baltimore Ravens Game at AT&T Stadium this Sunday.
Brady revealed his list of the top five teams heading into Week 3, and some of his choices will surprise you. The three-time MVP put the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the top spot, with the 2-0 Buffalo Bills right behind them.
But Tom Brady pulled a surprise by putting his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in the No. 3 spot. CJ Stroud’s Houston Texans were ranked No. 4, with the New Orleans Saints right behind them in the fifth spot:
🚨POWER RANKINGS🚨@TomBrady’s Top 5 teams going into Week 3!
1. @Chiefs
2. @BuffaloBills
3. @Buccaneers
4. @HoustonTexans
5. @Saints pic.twitter.com/MWHB9fgpnu— FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) September 19, 2024
It’s easy to conclude that Brady is simply biased with his placement of the Buccaneers, whom he played for from 2020 to 2022. TB12 led the long-struggling organization to a Super Bowl 55 championship in his first season and consecutive NFC South division crowns in 2021 and 2022.
For what it’s worth, the Bucs were seventh in ESPN’s power rankings, 12th at NFL.com and fifth on The Athletic. So as you can tell, there are varying opinions on Baker Mayfield’s 2-0 Bucs heading into Week 3.
Tom Brady Gets The Cowboys For The Third Straight Week
Brady began his NFL broadcasting debut when the Dallas Cowboys visited the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. One week later, Brady and Burkhardt were assigned to the Cowboys’ blowout loss against New Orleans.
Three weeks, three Cowboys games for Brady. The NFL legend and Burkhardt will finally get a break from calling Dallas games after Week 3, as the Cowboys’ Weeks 4 and 5 games are in prime-time slots.
