“[And I was like] This is how this works.”
Post Malone has opened up about his life before fame, revealing that he was a ‘loner’ before making millions of dollars.
Since beginning his career as a rapper, singer and songwriter, Post Malone has found major who hit songs such as ‘Congratulations’, ‘Rockstar’ and even a Grammy nominated album.
He has also had success in his personal life as well, getting engaged and welcoming a daughter with his current partner back in 2022.
However, the 29-year-old rapper – real name Austin Richard Post – hasn’t always had much luck when it came to romance.
Appearing on an episode of This Past Weekend podcast with Theo Von, Malone revealed that he considered himself a loner before getting famous.
When asked by Von if he was a ladies’ man earlier on in his life the rapper was quick to respond with an ‘Absolutely not’.

Malone then went on to add he couldn’t even remember the first time that he had success with the ‘opposite sex’, joking that he’d ‘probably made a million bucks’ by that point.
“I got stood up at homecoming,” he continued. “All my crushes like…it never worked out for me.”
Despite the rejection, Malone was quick to add that it ‘worked out in the long-run’ for him as he spent most of his teenage years playing the guitar.
“And then the money came…and it was awesome,” the musician joked.
“This is how this works.”
Whether it was money, fame or personality things have clearly worked out for Malone, given the fact that he’s now engaged and a father. Little is known about the rapper’s current partner, who is named Jamie, as she tends to keep a low profile. Though it’s widely believed the couple have been in a relationship since 2020.
The rapper then went on to share further insight into the process of making music, as well as the impact of becoming famous so young.

“When you come into the whole music world so young, it’s super easy to just be a f**k up kid,” he said, adding that he’s since moved to Utah, deleted his social media platforms and focusing more on what’s ‘fun’ to him.
“I wondered for a long time why I was so sad and it was because I wasn’t able to do what I like to do in my current circumstance,” he said.
“I think it’s important for anyone… to get out and take some time for yourself. And for the longest time I didn’t.”

Coleman explained: “He said, ‘Do you want a drink?’ I was like, ‘Listen, I’m saving for a house so I’m not drinking just now.
“Which was daft, my mates were, like, ‘Why did you turn down a drink from Post Malone’?”
The rapper respected Coleman’s decision and instead invited him to do a set at his concert’s official after-party.
“He started saying, how much will you charge? I said ‘nothing, it’s Post Malone, this is the chance of a lifetime’,” Coleman added.
“He got talking to me and he offered to help me out with my house deposit.”
People were blown away by the singer’s incredibly kind gesture, and now, Gregor has taken to his social media to update his followers on what happened next.

Waitress stunned after receiving ‘biggest tip of her life’ from Post Malone
The woman was blown away by the star’s generosity

A woman who has been waiting tables for almost two decades was left stunned after Post Malone gave her ‘by far’ the biggest tip of her life.
The subject of tipping has been a bit of a contentious one in the US in recent months, with one American saying it’s gone ‘too far’ and another shopper gobsmacked after being asked for a tip at a self-service check out.
However, it seems that Post Malone – real name Austin Richard Post – doesn’t seem to mind at all, as he recently tipped a whopping $3,000 (£2,445), as well as paying a 22 percent service charge totalling $535.26 (£436.28).
Sharing a photo of the receipt on Reddit, the woman wrote: “Been serving nearly 20 years and by far the best tip I have ever received. Such a genuine and cool dude.”
The post was soon flooded with responses from impressed fans of the star, as well as others who shared that they’d also served Post Malone and similarly hefty tips.
One fan said: “He lives here in Utah where I live. He’s known in the community to be the nicest, most generous guy. Everyone loves him.”
Another said: “I was working at a place that did a pooled house. Post Malone came in with a group, and we all made rent that night. Thanks Posty!”
A third wrote: “I worked his birthday party this year and he tipped each of us servers $1000 (£815.09), for maybe five hours of work and was ridiculously sweet.”
Someone else said: “I have a friend who dealt for him at a casino and she said the exact same thing. Posty tipped her well and she said he was an absolute sweetheart the whole night.”

This isn’t the first time the Rockstar singer has shown off his big-heart. Earlier this year, Glasgow-based Gregor Hunter Coleman says Post offered to help him out with his house deposit after meeting him in a bar.
Coleman said Post approached him after hearing him sing and told him he ‘smashed it’ before asking if he wanted a drink, which Coleman declined, explaining that he wasn’t drinking at the time as he was saving for a house.
The rapper respected Coleman’s decision and instead invited him to do a set at his concert’s official after-party.
“He started saying, how much will you charge? I said ‘nothing, it’s Post Malone, this is the chance of a lifetime’,” Coleman added.
