A trailer has been released for The Grand Tour: One For The Road, which will be the final hurrah for Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May.
The trio, who worked together for years on Top Gear before starting The Grand Tour following Clarkson being sacked, are taking one final road trip.
The trailer has left fans in bits, full of emotion at seeing the trio go on their last special together after 22 years.
One comment on YouTube said: “The best trio on television.”
While another wrote: “Can’t believe it’s ending, end of an era.”
Someone else appeared to be worried they’ll be in tears at the ending, commenting: “This is going to be a sad ending” with crying emojis.”
The end to the trio’s TV partnership has come in part through the dissolving of their joint production company.
On 11 July, the company that produced The Grand Tour filed documents declaring solvency, before making a special order to ‘wind up’.
“It’s odd. I have mixed emotions about it. I will miss the adventure and the experiences and the craic and the ‘bantz’ and all that stuff.
“I won’t really miss the stress of it because I’m old now and a bit frail compared with back then. I don’t know what to do next, but it’s a nice thing to look back on and think, ‘we did that’.”

The Grand Tour fans have been left emotional after Amazon confirmed the long-running motoring series would be coming to an end.
The Prime Video series, starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, originally premiered eight years ago after the presenting trio parted ways with the BBC and their previous motoring show Top Gear. Since then the series has been a huge success for the streamer and seen the trio head on even bigger and better adventures than before.
However all good things must come to an end, and today (22 August) Amazon has confirmed The Grand Tour would be coming to an end next month with one final adventure.
Set the the song ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’ by The Hollies, the promotional video sees Clarkson, Hammond and May set out across a vast, desert-like landscape before showing various clips from the upcoming special of the men looking, tired, exasperated and overjoyed.
“For the last time, here we go,” Clarkson says to the camera in one clip, before the episode’s title ‘One for the Road’ pops up on screen.
The final special will be airing very soon, with Amazon confirming a release date of 13 September 2024 on Prime Video.
A synopsis for the finale has also confirmed the episode will take part in Zimbabwe, with the logline reading: “In their last adventure, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May ignore the instructions of [producer] Mr [Andy] Wilman and head to Zimbabwe in three cars they’ve always wanted to own, a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3-litre, and a Triumph Stag.

“For a stunning road trip through beautiful and sometimes challenging landscapes leading to an emotional ending on a strangely familiar island.”
Fans are of course emotional to see the trio make their final trip after giving us 22 years of motoring delights and shear chaos, with many sharing their reactions across social media.
“I’m actually gonna cry throughout this episode,” one person wrote, while a second added: “And so, The 3 Wise Men have reached the end of their journey. Thanks for everything chaps.”
Several other fans were also quick to point out that you didn’t have to be a fan of cars to enjoy their shows, thanks to their excellent comedic timing and chemistry as a presenting trio.
“I didn’t matter if you were a car fan or not, the joy was in the chemistry of these 3,” one fan pointed out.
“I’ll miss them for sure, but I’m grateful for the many, many laughs we’ve had along the way. Old Top Gear and The Grand Tour will forever be my default comfort show.”

The final episode of The Grand Tour will come out later this month, on 13 September.
When asked in the past about why the trio was coming to an end, Hammond candidly told Heart Radio: “Because we’ve been doing it for 136 years.”
Clarkson said he was surprisingly unemotional about the end of the show, as was May, telling PA: “I’m not saying this in a derogatory way by any means but James has the emotions of a stone.
“He just doesn’t do emotions, so there were no tears from him. Hammond, yes.
“I was surprisingly unemotional in a weird way because I can see James and Hammond any time I want to, they’re only a phone call away, and I’m sure we will.
“And I’ve done enough of the travel, I was worn out by it.
“I’m 100% convinced I would have been a lot more emotional without the farm show.”
Speaking about the ending of their TV partnership, May said: “In the end we got to the point where we said, ‘No, we must stop whilst we’re still vaguely ahead. We mustn’t keep going until we embarrass ourselves’.
