Oasis issues statement as tickets appear on resale sites for thousands seconds after pre-sale goes live

With the general sale set to kick off in the morning, tonight (30 August) has been the first chance for Oasis fans to bag tickets for next year’s tour.

Well, a select few of them anyway after they secured a spot in the ballot.

But when it all kicked off earlier, many fans were left making the same complaint and now, they’ve been left furious as tickets quickly appeared on resale sites for an eye-watering amount.

This has left the band with no choice but to issue a statement on the matter.

After Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed the Oasis reunion tour earlier this week, it’s fair to say plenty of people absolutely lost their heads.

Many couldn’t believe they’d even be in the same room for a meeting, let alone share the stage for multiple dates across UK and Ireland.

So, this whopper of a surprise led to an absolute frenzy as millions hope to cop tickets to see the brothers.

Fans had already been preparing their best tips, tricks and hacks to try and secure their spot at the tour but it seems resellers have still managed to come out on top.

The pre-sale began at 7pm and within minutes, people noticed Oasis tickets were popping up on resale sites for thousands – that’s on top of the fake accounts on X trying to flog false tickets.

Noticing the tickets popping up, one even called out for the Prime Minister’s help as they wrote: “This is insane and should be illegal @TicketmasterUK @10DowningStreet we’re still in a queue for the oasis presale and people are already reselling tickets??

“Surely there’s a better way to stop touts. Insanity when it’s not even gone on general sale yet.”

As the complaints built-up, Oasis issued their own statement on X to reassure fans: “We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale.

“Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.”

With some sites offering tickets for as much as £2,000, a fan slammed: “How are these tickets on here already. States on presale conditions can’t be resold or transferred.

“Genuine fans missing out. @oasis #trivago.”

While another reassured others: “Don’t get too stressed by Oasis listings on Viagogo. They’re almost certainly scammers without tickets.”

Watch out for dodgy resellers lads, and don’t forget there’s always the big general sale to hold out for in the morning.
