It’s been suggested that there could be some discord in the Eagles’ camp following AJ Brown’s recent major event.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kelsey Riley, this weekend, proposing at a lavish ceremony at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia. Brown had his family and several teammates celebrate with him, pulling out all the stops and even hiring 11-time Grammy Award winner John Legend to serenade his partner on their special day.
However, one teammate was noticeably absent: Jalen Hurts.
Jalen Hurts’s No-Show At AJ Brown’s Engagement Party Sets Off Speculation

Rumors of friction between the two dominated certain parts of the last two seasons, though they have always maintained that there’s no bad blood. But, given that several Eagles players were in attendance and Hurts was a no-show, there’s talk of trouble.
“Oh Boy: Many Eagles fans are concerned that Jalen Hurts was not in attendance at AJ Brown’s engagement party despite multiple Eagles players being there,” Dov Kleiman posted to X on Sunday, sharing a photo Brown posted on his IG.
“Trouble may be brewing in Philly…,” he added.
“”scheduling conflict” strikes again ,” one fan joked, referencing Hurts’ decision to skip the Eagles’ White House visit.
“Definitely a “scheduling conflict.” Hurts is busy missing events this offseason ,” another user joked.
“Ghosting Trump and AJ Brown in the same month,” said a third.
Of course, not everyone’s buying it.
“No, Philly media is creating a story at the expense of AJ and his fiancée’s happiness,” one fan wrote. “No Eagles fan is bothered by this. There’s no trouble anywhere. Stop trying to tear this team apart.”
While it certainly is strange that Hurts wasn’t around, it doesn’t necessarily indicate a rift. The quarterback does have a lot going on on his end.
Still, that would fall under scheduling conflicts.
