A viral video recording from last night shows said fan falling headfirst onto the dugout during last night’s game, having toppled from a height of over 20 feet at PNC Park. He is said to be in critical condition, with Pittsburgh authorities revealing as much to TMZ.
Another video has since been posted in which a man believed to be a friend is shown arguing while being led away by two people before a cart is shown driving the injured fan off the field.

Stricken Fan & Medical Personnel Acknowledged Before Thursday’s Pirates-Cubs Game

Pittsburgh police do not believe that there was any foul play, with the incident thought to be purely accidental.
This all took place during the seventh inning of the Pirates-Cubs game, with the man jumping from his seat and falling all the way to the warning track, estimated to be just over 20 feet below. He flipped several times before he landed.
Trainers rushed out to his aid, and he was seen motionless on the ground before he was strapped onto a stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital.
The game was delayed but eventually resumed, with the Pirates winning 4-3. Of course, the result wasn’t an enjoyable one as it’s the furthest thing away from anyone’s mind, at least the ones at the ballpark at the time.
The Pirates acknowledged the frightening fall before their game against the Cubs on Thursday morning, offering prayers and recognizing the medical personnel who may have saved his life with their quick reactions.
We, too, are praying for a his recovery.
