The unpredictable nature of NFL free agency is taking its toll on Alyssa Takitaki, wife of veteran linebacker Sione Takitaki. In a candid TikTok video posted Monday, March 10, she expressed the unsettling reality of not knowing where their family will live next as her husband awaits his next team.
“I don’t know where I’m going to live! We’re essentially homeless… for now,” Alyssa said in the clip, capturing the chaos of the NFL offseason. The New England Patriots signed Sione, who spent five years with the Cleveland Browns, as an unrestricted free agent before releasing him on February 19.
Now, the couple is in limbo, fielding interest from teams while navigating life with their newborn son, Zion.
The Uncertainty Of Sione Takitaki’s Free Agency

Alyssa vividly described the ongoing situation, explaining that free agency offers little stability. “You think you’re going somewhere, and then last minute… you’re actually going over here,” she said, recalling similar unpredictability when Sione was drafted.
Despite the stress, she remains lighthearted. “I physically have to like slap myself when I start looking for homes or rentals on Zillow,” she joked.
As Sione prepares for his seventh NFL season, his future remains unclear. But if there’s one thing Alyssa is certain of, it’s this: “The only sure thing in the NFL is that it’s unsure.”
