Pat McAfee Shares Disturbing & Vulgar Death Threats That He & His Baby Daughter Received After Comments About Canadians

ESPN’s Pat McAfee shared a screenshot of the disturbing and horrifying death threats his family received from an Instagram user.

Last Saturday, Pat McAfee made headlines at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Toronto when he called Canada a “terrible country.” McAfee made comments at the announce table alongside Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, expressing his disgust at the Canadian fans for booing the performance of the U.S. national anthem.

Well, one fan completely crossed the line by sending McAfee a series of horrible and sickening messages via Instagram DMs. The fan used plenty of profanity and told McAfee that he hopes his infant daughter ties.

As the messages were extremely disturbing, we’ve censored the full screenshot that McAfee shared on his Instagram story. You can see the uncensored version here.

Even if you were disappointed or angry with McAfee’s comments about Canada, there is no excuse for using the language this fan used. And going after his infant daughter? Absolutely shameful and cruel.

Pat McAfee explained why he commented about Canada at Elimination Chamber on Monday’s edition of his show. The former Indianapolis Colts’ punter said that he disagrees with the booing of the national anthem, but he respects Canadians’ “passion” for their country.

McAfee later said he comprehends the things that unhappy fans said about him before concluding with, “You boo my country, I called your country terrible, let’s shake hands.”

Ever since U.S. President Donald Trump has called for Canada to become America’s 51st state, Canadians have responded by booing the performance of the U.S. national anthem at sporting events. This has happened mainly at NHL games when American teams come to play in a Canadian city.
