Football fans are in stitches after old images of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby from the NFL Scouting Combine emerged.
The annual NFL Scouting Combine was held last week in Indianapolis, Indiana. Top prospects got one last chance to showcase their talents before next month’s 2025 NFL Draft.
The Bussin’ With The Boys X/Twitter account shared old side-by-side images of Travis Kelce and Maxx Crosby at the NFL Scouting Combine (from 2013 and 2019, respectively). And boy, did they ever grow up quickly.
Social media had all sorts of hysterical reactions to the images:
“That’s not Travis and Maxx?” asked one stunned fan.
“The only way you can have longevity in the league is if you grow a beard..,” quipped another.
“What are thosseee earrings?!?!!” another fan asked.
“Are they really that wild tho?” a user asked.
“Is that @RossTuckerNFL and @PatMcAfeeShow ????😆😆. It’s not but defff could be lol,” asked a fan.
‘I think @TaylorLewan77 and @_willcompton have them beat,” said a user.
Travis Kelce and Maxx Crosby weren’t considered highly-touted prospects in their respective draft years. The former was a third-round pick (63rd overall) in a relatively weak 2013 Draft class, and Crosby wasn’t taken until the fourth round (106th overall) by the Raiders in 2019.
But Kelce and Crosby have gone on to carve out excellent NFL careers with their respective clubs. Kelce, who’s in the conversation for the GOAT of tight ends, is a surefire Hall of Famer with three Super Bowl rings, 10 Pro Bowl nods, 1,004 catches and 12,151 receiving yards.
A four-time Pro Bowler, Crosby has 59.5 sacks in 95 games on a Raiders team that has failed to build a contender around him. But it’s not at all a stretch to say that he’s on a trajectory for Canton as well.
Travis Kelce Is Coming Back For Another Season

Retirement speculation surrounded Kelce immediately after the Chiefs’ ugly Super Bowl 59 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. But the 35-year-old announced last week that he’s returning for his 13th season, a significant boost to KC’s Super Bowl 60 hopes.
