Follow live updates and results from Team USA as coverage continues throughout the 2024 Paris Olympics
The 2024 Paris Olympics continue Sunday with stars looking to medal in gymnastics, swimming and track & field. Though Katie Ledecky’s effort in the Summer Games has come to a conclusion, major American stars like Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Noah Lyles, Sha’Carri Richardson and others are still in contention for all types of hardware (and plenty of history along with it).
Saturday’s action saw Ledecky become the first female Olympian to win four gold medals in the same event, the 800-meter freestyle. Biles’s seventh gold medal, which she won in the vault, shot her to second place among female gymnastics with her only contemporaries competing more than a half-century ago. Richardson fell a bit short of her goal but picked up a silver medal in the 100 meters, while the “Pommel Horse Guy,” Stephen Nedoroscik, continued his viral run with a bronze medal on his favorite apparatus. The Americans also completely dominated shot put with a gold-silver finish, making more history around the way.
All of those Team USA results — and much more, including victories by USA Basketball and the USWNT — are available below.
The United States continues to lead the Paris Olympics with 61 total medals, though the 14 gold are two behind China entering Sunday’s competition. France, host of these Summer Games, is second to the U.S. but 20 medals behind the Americans.
The Olympics run until Aug. 11, and on this page, CBS Sports will be tracking the entire event from the perspective of the United States. You will find everything you need to know about Team USA’s performances from gold-medal victories and record-breaking efforts to fun moments and (unfortunately some) crushing defeats.
