The National Lacrosse League is the only professional lacrosse league in North America, and many fans around the league go to the games for both the sport and the game’s presentation. Others may also go for the fights that happen.
The league comprises 15 teams, and the Buffalo Bandits are currently sitting atop the league with four wins and no losses in the 2024-25 season. However, it is only four games into the season, which is subject to change.
The team on the opposite side of the standings is the Toronto Rock, who currently sit last in the league with no wins and five losses. So, one would assume that it will be an outmatched game when these two play.
Not according to one video currently going viral on X, as these two teams recently faced a battle that no one thought would be competitive. Friday nights, however, was a completely different story.
This National Lacrosse League Fight Is Going Viral
The Bandits somehow sneaked out with a 15-to-13 win and kept the only undefeated record in the National Lacrosse League, but the game wasn’t highlighted by the play, as there was indeed a fight, making some fans happy.
Toronto defender Eli Gash took on Buffalo defender Zach Balter in a battle for the ages that saw Gash nearly knock Belter out and then continue to hurl some heated insults at his opponent while he was down.
The fight came after Gash threw a nasty hit on one of Belter’s teammates. Belter was seen running to defend his teammate, but as the clip explains, it did not go his way. The National Lacrosse League may just be one of the most brutal leagues in terms of fighting.
