The Buffalo Bills have released a veteran running back in Darrynton Evans this Tuesday, with several moves happening around the NFL ahead of the November 5 transfer deadline.

The team has revealed cutting Evans following his return from the injured reserve, but they’ve done it with a view of signing him back.

Evans returned from the IR earlier this month, and his 21-day practice window is about to close.

The Bills have opted to release him instead of having a healthy player spend the rest of the season on the injured reserve. They can add him back to their practice squad and then bump him up to their 53-man roster should he go unsigned.
