Jayden Daniels left Commanders fans sweating over his fitness after being forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
The rookie quarterback sustained a rib injury after receiving some brutal hits following a scramble during his team’s opening drive. Daniels was shown trying to throw on the sideline but seemed to be in too much pain. He eventually headed to the locker room for X-rays.
The reigning Heisman was first listed as questionable to return and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the game amid fears over broken ribs.
He would return to the sideline in the second half, wearing street clothes, and was shown waving at the crowd. A video in which he’s seen raising his right hand has led folks to suggest that the injury wasn’t a bad one.

Fans Are Convinced That Jayden Daniels Is Okay
Given the above, fans are pretty sure Daniels will be back in action at the soonest.
“Broken ribs would hurt him breathing and moving around just the smallest amount,” someone noted.
“Idk. When I broke my ribs I was ok for the most part but laying down was a nightmare,” another recalled.
“If they were broken he wouldn’t be able to comfortably breathe much less lift his arms to signal touchdown! Hopefully he is ok!” said a third.
“His fine a** mom said he was fine. That’s enough for me,” a comment read.
Jayden Daniels’ mother has indeed made claims of her son being “fine,” taking to X to post as much.
Fortunately for Washington, they didn’t miss their rook too much as backup QB Marcus Mariota led them to a 40-7 win over the Panthers.
