The Prince of Wales revealed that his daughter had a challenge ahead.
Prince William exclaimed, leaning down to reveal, “Charlotte’s got tested. “Yes, she had tests.
Princess Charlotte might have a tiny admirer! On June 5, Prince William gave a sweet update on his 9-year-old daughter at the U.K.’s national event in Portsmouth, England, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings.
The Prince of Wales, 41, talked about Princess Charlotte while meeting with the great-granddaughter of Captain Alastair Bannerman, a soldier involved in the D-Day Landings whose diary entry William read during the service, The Independent reported.
“Did you like the Red Arrows?” Prince William asked the youngster about the patriotic aerial display in a video shared by the outlet.
“I think she was going to ask you where Charlotte was,” the woman accompanying the girl replied.
“Charlotte’s at school!” Prince William exclaimed, leaning down to reveal, “Charlotte’s got exams.
“Yes, she had tests. She wasn’t looking forward to the school day,” the royal dad said before crossing his fingers and adding, “Hopefully it’s all gone well.”
Prince William and Princess Charlotte are known to share a sweet father-daughter bond, from the little princess reaching out to her dad for a hug on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour in June 2023 to teaming up to wish good luck to the England women’s soccer via videos before championship games the last two summers.
The Prince of Wales also quoted his only daughter’s “favorite joke at the moment” during a stop at a school in April (hint: it begins with “Knock, knock!).
While Princess Charlotte concentrates in the classroom, she’s not the only young royal who has reportedly fretted over tests. Last October, Kate Middleton shared Prince George’s relatable take on the repetitive nature of school tests while visiting a high school in Wales.
“George is just at the beginning of being tested. He says, ‘Mummy, I keep getting tested all the time.’ But when it gets to A-levels you feel like you’re on it,” Princess Kate said while sitting with students in a clip shared to TikTok by Matt Wilkinson of The Sun.
A few weeks before, it emerged that the Princess of Wales, 42, wouldn’t join Prince William in Singapore for the third cycle of his Earthshot Prize Awards that November, which coincided with an important time on their eldest son’s academic calendar. Prince George, 10, had school exams that week, and his mother stayed home in Windsor to support him.
In the same vein, Prince William and Kate Middleton have silenced rumour peddlers who were insinuating Prince Charlotte wasn’t the biological daughter of the Royal couple by revealing the DNA test results.
