The New England Patriots had quite the turnaround this off-season. They fired Bill Belichick after over 20 seasons with the legendary head coach at the helm of their franchise. Not only that, but the team also drafted rookie quarterback Drake Maye.
Maye is slated to be the future franchise signal caller for a Patriots team that once housed the great Tom Brady. The former North Carolina QB has some big shoes to fill, and so far, in the 2024 season, he isn’t doing too bad.
In his two games played with the Patriots this season, Maye has completed nearly 60 percent of his passes for 265 yards. He has found the endzone three times and thrown two interceptions in his young career.
However, according to Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin, it seems that Maye may have some knee issues heading into the Patriots’ week seven match-up against the Trevor Lawrence-led Jacksonville Jaguars.
