On Sunday, the New York Giants walked into Lumen Field and stole away a win from the Seattle Seahawks. In attendance at the game was Giants owner John Mara, who made the trip to be there.
Of course, many owners travel to watch their team play an away game, and it usually goes unnoticed.
However, Mara had no problem getting in with a few Seattle fans before the game started.
A video shows the owner walking out of the tunnel in front of a mixture of Seahawks and Giants fans. When he gets near the end of the stands, he is seen showing off his Super Bowl rings to a couple of opposing fans.
Of course, actions like this are rare from NFL owners, and social media users are torn about it.
“If you still don’t see how the Giants have been the worst run organization in the last 10 years, this video is all the proof,” said one comment.
“I won’t lie, this is cold af lmao,” said another.
“Fans: Yell at owner pissed at over 10 years of complete incompetence, constant losing Owner: Flexes rings from 12 and 15 years ago This is why we SUCK,” added a third.
“Rare John Mara W,” continued a fourth.
It’s safe to say that Mara showed a side of himself that usually doesn’t make much of an appearance.
John Mara Has Multiple Super Bowl Rings
Mara is the proud owner of two Super Bowl rings when his New York Giants won it all in 2008 and 2012
He has owned the team since 2005 and has seen them go to the playoffs seven times, with a total record of 146-165-1.
However, the team has made the playoffs just once in the last seven years.
