Amazon Prime has been getting roasted online over their ‘Thursday Night Football’ graphic advertising next week’s game. And Sean Payton might be worried.
The streaming platform hosted this Thursday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. They flashed a graphic promoting the Week 7 fixture featuring the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints during their coverage, and it’s fair to say it was a bit odd.
While that’s all standard stuff, the platform used a photo of Broncos head coach Sean Payton for the AFC team. Cam Jordan, one of Payton’s former players in New Orleans, was used for the Saints.
This would have probably worked if they had used an image of Saints HC Dennis Allen on the other side, but the way they opted to go with it just looked weird.
Fans might also feel like Jordan might not have done the photo justice as he hasn’t been the Jordan of times past.
“Looks like Sean Payton has to take on the Saints all by himself,” Barstool Sports joked.
“good luck to him 😂 hope he’s ready for a wild ride!” a fan commented.
“That will be a battle for the ages…. 😬” another predicted.
“They’re promoting Cam, because he’ll probably be doing tv for them, when he retires next year,” said a third.
“What a trash graphic,” a fourth noted.
“What a weird graphic from Amazon,” someone else added.
Sean Payton Back In NO Might Be Must-See TV
Sean Payton going back to face his old team is likely to produce all sorts of storylines.
The veteran HC has coached Denver to a 3-2 start with rookie Bo Nix the starting quarterback. Of course, there’s been quite the learning curve.
As for the Saints, they had us all hyped after they won their first two games but have since lost three on the bounce.
They’re now set to be without starting QB Derek Carr, who has been sidelined with an oblique injury that should keep him out for several weeks. Spencer Rattler, who has been described as the “steal of the draft” this year, will now have an opportunity to make his mark.
