Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce really engaged?
The reports of an engagement surfaced as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman claimed he’s heard plenty about it.
This all started when Pro Football Hall of Famer turned Monday Night Football analyst Troy Aikman accidentally referred to Swift as “the Mrs.” when ESPN’s broadcast of the Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Then, on an episode of the Pardon My Take podcast, Aikman was heard saying he had been told Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce “might” be heading to the altar.
“Someone actually reached out to me today and said they might actually be engaged,” Aikman said on the show.
“So I might have broke the story.”
However, the claim of the high-profile engagement has been shot down by a confirmation from TMZ.
“It’s not true, and the recent erratic and unfounded speculation on this couple is just proving that media and overzealous fans do not know what’s going on with them and shouldn’t make wild assumptions based on zero facts,” the source said. “Two days ago everyone had decided they were broken up, now they’re allegedly secretly engaged? It’s whiplash-inducing.”
For Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, they have some time to spend together since the Chiefs are now on their bye week.
The tight end revealed that he has plans for the break but refused to reveal them on his podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.
His brother Jason asked if he is “going to tell anybody” about “the plans,” to which Travis replied, “No, but if any of it comes out I’m sure we’ll talk about it on the show.”
Taylor Swift Ends Two-Game Streak With Appearance During Week 5 To Support Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift attended Kelce’s game for the first time since Week 2, having missed the Chiefs’ last two road games in Atlanta and Inglewood.
Kelce has had his two best games, having recorded a season-best nine receptions for 70 yards, coming off a seven-catch, 89-yard performance in Week 4.
With Swift in attendance, the team is 3-0 and 5-0 overall.
