If you watched the Anthony Joshua fight on Saturday (21 September) you’ll know that there were some famous faces in the crowd, including the likes of Tyson Fury, who was watching ringside.

AJ took on Daniel Dubois in the Riyadh Season fight and – despite being the bookies’ favourite to win – Joshua was knocked down a number of times before the match concluded.

It was a pretty crushing blow for AJ, who was dominated by Dubois for the entire fight before the ref called time after a savage right hander in the fifth round.

At one point, after the blow from Dubois, AJ fell head first into the side of the ring before doing his best to stand up.

While balancing on his knees, he almost rolled forward, before stumbling backwards into the corner of the ring.

It quickly became clear that the fight should not continue despite Joshua’s attempts to stand up and carry on fighting.

When the referee called for the match was stopped, Joshua’s team were seen racing over to his aid.

Following his defeat, Joshua reportedly issued a two-word response to Dubois after being knocked out.

It was a tense moment for fans both at home and in the crowds at Wembley.

In fact, Fury, who was watching ringside along with Conor McGregor, could be seen reacting to the moment AJ was knocked down.

Although McGregor seemed to be celebrating Dubois’ win, Fury, who was sitting a row in front, looked visibly shocked by what had happened.

At one point, he waved his hands before turning around to McGregor, perhaps indicating that the fight was over.

And viewers were quick to spot his reaction, with some claiming he looked ‘gutted’ or ‘incredibly frustrated’.

A third commented: “Even Tyson Fury looked sad after that.”

Following the fight, Fury said as per GB News: “It’s heavyweight boxing. [Stuff] happens. You get knocked spark out.

“It could have been me. In the heavyweight division, it’s what happens.

“What went wrong is what always happens in heavyweight boxing. A good right hand on the end of the chin, and that was it.

“I don’t know. It’s up to the man and whatever he wants to do. If he has good ambitions to come back again, he can make his own decisions. He’s a big boy.

“I thought it was a 50-50 fight. Dubois is a lot younger. He’s 27-years-old.

“Joshua is 35, the same age as me. Age doesn’t wait for anybody.

“You get hit with those punches. You don’t see many heavyweights get hit, get knocked down, get back up, and continue on.”
