It was quite the day around the NFL regarding injuries to key players, and Isiah Pacheco was one of those players.
The Kansas City Chiefs watched as running back Isiah Pacheco suffered an apparent injury near the end of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the news hours later wasn’t any better.
Pacheco limped off the field with roughly two minutes remaining after he appeared to have suffered some sort of lower-body injury and was shown receiving attention from Kansas City’s medical staff.
Pacheco never returned to the game, and now the rest of his 2024 season is in doubt.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss “real-time” after initial tests revealed a fractured fibula.

Adam Schefter of ESPN added that the standout running back is expected to land on injured reserve, which means he will miss a minimum of four weeks and possibly longer.
The Kansas City running back played a key role in the close win before his exit, racking up 90 yards on the ground on 19 carries.
Pacheco also caught five passes for 21 yards before leaving the game.
