Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon became the victim of the dreaded hip-drop tackle.
During the third quarter of the Sunday night game between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears, Mixon injured his ankle on a play that has been banned.
Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards had a classic hip drop tackle, injuring Texans running back Joe Mixon on Sunday Night Football.
No flag was thrown.
Mixon’s ankle turned in a way that shouldn’t have as he got dragged down to the ground with 11:52 remaining in the third quarter.

Luckily for everybody involved, the Texans running back was able to come back into this game and play.

Joe Mixon’s first game as a Texans was one to remember last week.
Mixon rumbled for 159 yards on 30 carries in Sunday’s road win at Indianapolis.
