Avocado is known for his extreme mukbang (eating show) videos

YouTuber Nikocado Avocado has truly stunned his fans after dropping 17 stone in a two years.

The content creator whose real name is Nicholas Perry rose to social media fame for sharing his extreme mukbang (eating show) videos onto the platform.

Before the 3.39 million subscribers came, Perry was initially vegan and started to build up a following after transitioning to a high-calorie and fast-food diet.

As he was controversially gaining more weight on purpose, his videos would be a mix of shock value, humour, and self-destructive behaviour.

However, taking to the video-sharing platform recently, Nicholas revealed that he hadn’t filmed a video in two years.

This came a surprise since his last upload with just three months ago.

He then explained how the whole thing had been a ruse in his YouTube video titled ‘Two Steps Ahead’.

The influencer told his viewers: “I am always two steps ahead. This has been the greatest social experiment of my entire life.

“It’s worrying, it’s compelling, it’s gripping to observe all these unwell, disorientated beings roam the internet in search of stories, ideas, rivalries where they feel encouraged, engaged.

“So I am the villain because I’ve made myself one and you will continue to consume these stories about me – year after year after year.

“Yesterday people were calling me fat and sick and boring and irrelevant.

“People are the most messed up creatures on the entire planet and yet I’ve still managed to stay two steps ahead of everyone. The joke’s on you.

“I haven’t made a video for two years.”

Nicholas did not explain exactly how he lost the weight.

Commenting on the clip, one viewer said: “The way Nikocado went from ‘just water weight’ to 250 pounds lighter is the biggest internet redemption arc ever!”

A second added: “Let’s be real. This is what we hoped for rather than facing his passing due to complications caused by his heavy weight.”

While a third wrote: “Y’all gotta realise, this is ACTUALLY insane. This is gonna be one of those historic YouTube/2024 moments, and we’re all apart of it.”

Someone else also admitted: “Honestly man, I don’t like you as a content creator, but I do respect you for looking after your health, congrats man, genuinely proud of you.”

Another penned: “This is insane and so incredibly inspiring and impressive. He seems like genuinely such a sweet person and i love that we can actually see his personality in this. Such an insane transformation.”

Meanwhile, the NHS insists that if you want to lose weight ‘safely’ that you get in touch with your GP who can offer the right advice.
