Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian recently shared that their daughter Olympia demanded 50 percent of her allowance to be in Robux, a virtual currency used in the game ROBLOX, and the rest in USD.

Serena Williams gave birth to Olympia on September 1, 2017, shortly after winning her 23rd Grand Slam title. Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams then tied the knot on November 16, 2017, in New Orleans. In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, the former World No. 1 revealed that Alexis Ohanian introduced Olympia to gaming. Though Williams was skeptical about the choice, she talked about being okay with it as long as there’s balance.

“Olympia’s into gaming … her dad’s got her into VR [virtual reality]. Not sure how I feel about that. It’s the founder of Reddit, so that kind of makes sense,” she said.

Cut to 2024, the seven-year-old demanded a 50/50 Robux/rUSD allowance to juggle in-game purchases in Roblox and real-life spending. Her father, Alexis Ohanian, took to his X and talked about their daughter’s unique ‘milestone’ with the caption:
“We hit a milestone this weekend because it was the first time @OlympiaOhanian wanted her allowance to be almost 50/50 Robux/USD (normally she wants all Robux),” the caption read.

According to Serena, Olympia takes an interest in ballet, soccer, and golf as well. Discussing her daughter’s hobbies, Williams said that they are a mix of creative and athletic.
“I do think she’s a mix of both creative and athletic right now. Mini golf was her thing a year or so ago, and then we got her proper golfing lessons, and she’s loved it. On the creative side, she loves to dance. Maybe that’s where she’ll land,” Serena Williams said. (via People)
Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian was about to name his firm Seven Seven Six after her firstborn Olympia

In a recent Instagram post, Ohanian shared the reason behind naming his venture capital firm, Seven Seven Six, when his initial plan was to name it Olympia Capital.
“I was originally naming the firm after Olympia, our firstborn daughter, she was part of the inspiration for me to resign [Reddit] and start Seven Seven Six. I didn’t name it Olympia Capital because my wife wisely pointed out, if we had another kid (spoiler, we do have another kid), they would be jealous,” he said.

Serena Williams’ husband’s firm is hosting Seven Seven Six Invitational, a women-only track event with a prize pool of $60,000, scheduled to take place in September 2024.
