Jennifer Lopez has shed light on the underlying reasons for her recent split from actor Ben Affleck.
The singer and actress, who had rekindled their romance after two decades apart, revealed that personal differences and conflicting priorities ultimately led to the end of their marriage.
“Ben and I have a deep love and respect for each other,” Lopez stated. “We’ve always been a team, and that will never change. However, as life evolves, our paths have diverged in different directions.”
While the couple has maintained a cordial relationship since their separation, Lopez admitted that the decision to end their marriage was difficult. “It was a painful choice, but it was the right one for both of us.
Sometimes, love isn’t enough to sustain a long-term relationship,” she added.
The couple’s split has sparked speculation among fans, with many wondering if their busy careers played a role. However, Lopez clarified that their professional commitments were not the primary reason for their divorce.
Instead, she attributed the breakup to personal differences that could not be resolved.
