WATCH as Lenny Kravitz Jokingly Tells Daughter Zoë Kravitz to ‘Save Me Some’ Weed as She Promotes New Movie Blink Twice

Zoë Kravitz is celebrating the release of her directorial debut Blink Twice with some colorful accessories — and dad Lenny Kravitz wants in!

The actress, 35, shared some promotional goodies for her movie to Instagram on Aug. 12, including a lighter and some pre-rolled joints from the cannabis brand Pure Beauty.

“ooooh we’ve got ourselves a sticky situation…🌺 @purebeautypurebeauty 👀smoke a J and go watch #blinktwice in theaters aug 23!,” she captioned the post.

Dad Lenny, 60, was quick to chime in with an ask for some goods of his own: “Save me some …..” he commented, to which Zoë responded, “@lennykravitz pops i got chu 😮‍💨”

Blink Twice, a psychological thriller, marks Zoë’s directorial debut, and stars her fiancé Channing Tatum. She also co-wrote the flick, and serves as a co-producer, as does Tatum, 44.

At the film’s London premiere on Aug. 19, Zoë brought Lenny along for the fun, and the two posed together on the red carpet with Zoë in a red gown and the rocker in a loose-fitting, double-breasted Saint Laurent suit that showed some skin underneath.

“I’m very proud of not only how Zoë came out, but how we did it,” he told PEOPLE in February of raising his daughter with ex-wife Lisa Bonet. “We did it without lawyers and all that madness. We did it as a family, with love.”

When Lenny received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March, Zoë shared some kind words of her own for her dad in a speech that reflected on the many joyous moments they’ve experienced together.

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you for a long time, and I must say, being your daughter has been one of the great adventures of my life,” she said.

Later in her speech, the High Fidelity actress explained that while having Lenny as a dad was just as “cool” as people assumed, it was for an unexpected reason.

“My whole life, people have always asked me, ‘What’s it like to have a cool dad?’ And the answer is: awesome. It’s awesome,” she said. “But not for the reasons some might think. What’s cool about you is not what people think is cool about you. Your radness doesn’t come from your shades or leather pants or netted shirts, it comes from your true love of life. Everything you do is an expression of that love.”

Blink Twice hits theaters on Friday, Aug. 23.
