Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez gave a nod of approval to Shedeur Sanders on Thursday evening, showing the new Cleveland Browns quarterback some love after a walkoff run.
Cleveland is on the sporting map at the moment, even with the NFL Draft having died down. Shedeur is reportedly leading jersey sales among rookies, while the Guardians are playing some very decent baseball. The Cavaliers are also through to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs in the NBA after a sweep of the Miami Heat.
The Guardians logged another win this Thursday, getting a walk-off over the Minnesota Twins, with Ramirez notching 250 stolen bases on the night.
He would flash his wrist in what’s become known as the “Shedeur” celebration after the win, a direct nod to the latest big-name athlete to grace the city.

Shedeur Sanders Has Proven To Be A Hit In Cleveland

The Browns selected Sanders as the 144th overall pick last weekend, stopping a monumental slide.
He will have a chance to compete for the starting role, despite being drafted in the fifth round. And, should that turn out to be the case, we could see a lot of that celebration.
The Browns unexpectedly selected two quarterbacks in the draft, picking Dillon Gabriel before Shedeur. This might be cause for concern, given their recent QB history, with the team having brought in the likes of Johnny Manziel, Baker Mayfield, who’s now on an impressive redemption arc, and Deshaun Watson over the last several years.
They now have a stacked quarterback room, and given the names involved, the starting position is up for grabs.
For now, it appears that Cleveland has taken to Shedeur Sanders and would love for him to be the starter.
