Derek Carr and his family need all of the prayers.
The Saints quarterback broke his silence this week to speak on a wide range of topics, including his ongoing shoulder injury, which could have him sidelined into next season.
Much has remained unclear about the extent of Carr’s injury, but that isn’t important to what he stated about his wife.
Derek Carr told reporters that he had to rush his wife to the ER for a miscarriage when they were scheduled to visit NOLA for his shoulder injury.
“We don’t just have 4 babies we have 5. One is in heaven. We’ll get to meet the other one when we get to heaven,” he said.
“Wouldn’t wish this upon anyone,” one fan said.
“I actually love this guy and I want him as my qb1 in new orleans,” a second fan stated.
“Praying for the Carr family. That’s terrible,” a third person added.
“My condolences to you Derek and to your wife I know this is a tough time but our hearts are joined with you all in prayer. God bless you all,” a fan to wrote to Derek Carr.
One final fan said: “Damn that so sad.”
Derek Carr Confirms Shoulder Injury

With a potential quarterback controversy brewing in New Orleans, Derek Carr is finally speaking out.
On Monday, the veteran QB confirmed the news of his shoulder injury in a speech delivered at Church LV, a church in Las Vegas.
Earlier this month, reports circulated that Carr had a significant shoulder injury that might require surgery.
Carr dispelled rumors that his injury was meant to force the Saints into a trade.
“I hate that I have to say this, but I have to say this. Yes, I have a shoulder injury, despite what ESPN says and what some lady on a podcast might think,” Carr said. “I have an MRI report to prove it. The team knows about it, we’ve been in constant communication. There’s nothing wrong, we’re figuring it out, and we’re gonna go forward with that.”
