Shannon Sharpe hasn’t missed a beat on ESPN following reports of a bombshell lawsuit, making his regular appearance on ‘First Take’ on Monday, the day TMZ revealed he was being sued for $50 million.
The suit, filed in Nevada by a Gabriella Zuniga, bears claims of the sports analyst raping the complainant multiple times.
Sharpe has since denied this through his attorney, stating categorically that he never raped his accuser and is prepared to fight it out in court. He also shared several screenshots of conversations that supposedly took place between them.
Despite the seriousness of the accusations, Sharpe was back on ‘First Take’ this Tuesday, as shown in the clip below:
“Shannon Sharpe just gone be on First Take like nothing is happening huh?” an X user posted after the show started with Sharpe on the ‘FT’ panel.
Shannon Sharpe Was Expected Back On ‘First Take’ This Tuesday

The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand had reported late on Monday night that the former NFL tight end would be on the show but was not expected to address the suit.
“Shannon Sharpe is going to be on First Take for his regular Tuesday appearance tomorrow morning and it is not expected to address the on-going civil suit, according to a source briefed on the plans,” Marchand wrote in a tweet.
Sharpe also hosted his ‘Nightcap’ podcast with Chad Ochocinco on Monday night, but did not address the allegations there either.
It appears that ESPN could be waiting to see how this plays out, plus it would be a bad look for them if they were to boot him before he’s proven guilty.
They do have that Michael Irvin experience to fall back on.
