Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a simple message to Jourdan Lewis leaving the organization in free agency.
The Dallas Cowboys lost the longtime veteran defensive player at the start of NFL free agency on Monday.
Cornerback Jourdan Lewis signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, including $20 million fully guaranteed following his eight-year run with the Cowboys.
Lewis appeared in 16 games in 2024 and recorded a career-high 71 total tackles while adding eight passes defended, an interception, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He was a huge loss for the team.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott reacted to his former teammates’ new deal on social media.
“The Most Deserved,” Prescott said.

Lewis was a third-round pick out of Michigan in the 2017 NFL Draft and quickly became one of the faces of the Cowboys’ defense. He will truly be missed.
If he never returns to the franchise, he will end his tenure, appearing in 115 regular season games and four playoff games.
Dallas Cowboys Restructure Dak Prescott’s Contract

The Dallas Cowboys needed to do something to find money, so they restructured the contracts of quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, which freed $56.6 million in cap space.
Prescott, who signed the richest per-year deal in NFL history last September, reworked his four-year, $240 million contract with the team to lessen the scheduled $89.6 million cap hit that was set to hit in 2025.
The move came just days before the start of free agency, but it took some time for the team to get going, as it appears it will be another quiet offseason for the Cowboys.
