Projected No. 1 pick Abdul Carter, also a Penn State product, has drawn comparisons to Parsons. But even if Dallas were to do this hypothetical trade with New England, they’d likely have to trade up again to get Carter.Trading for Parsons would bring new energy and excitement to a Patriots fanbase that longs for the return of winning football. But at this time, all signs point to Parsons signing a long-term deal to stay in Dallas.

Micah Parsons Is Too Valuable To Trade

An owner like Jerry Jones will never fully commit to a rebuild, and trading Parsons would simply destroy the Cowboys’ competitive window.

At the end of the day, the best bet is to extend its franchise star and keep him in Dallas long-term. He’s a top-five defensive player in football, and finding players of his caliber is easier said than done.
