Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman compared winning two Super Bowl championships to…having sex. Yes, you read that correctly.
It’s been 23 days since Roseman’s Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59 to secure their second Lombardi Trophy in eight seasons. Jalen Hurts was named the Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 72 rushing yards and a rushing score.
During an interview on Todd McShay’s show at The Ringer, Howie Roseman used a sex analogy to describe the thrill of winning the Super Bowl.
“The first one…it’s almost like the first time you have sex. You are so glad you had sex it’s not even the quality of it. The second time it’s like ‘Wow I can actually have fun and enjoy this.’”

Thanks for sharing, Howie.
Winning football’s ultimate prize was one thing, but the victory was a little sweeter since the Eagles lost Super Bowl 57 to Kansas City two years ago in controversial fashion, when James Bradberry was called for a tacky “holding” penalty late in the game against JuJu Smith-Schuster.
After a miserable collapse at the end of the 2023 season, Howie Roseman went to work in reconstructing a winner. His biggest move was signing ex-New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley in free agency, but Roseman also nailed his selections of cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell (22nd overall) and Cooper DeJean (40th) in the NFL Draft.
Howie Roseman Makes A Compelling Case As The Best GM In Football

With two Super Bowl championships in less than a decade, it’s not a stretch to argue that Roseman is the best general manager in football.
He’s built two different championship-winning teams with two different head coaches and quarterbacks. How many other GMs would dare fire a well-respected Super Bowl-winning HC like Doug Pederson, make a bold choice to bring in Nick Sirianni and then gamble on 2020 second-round pick Jalen Hurts?
The Sirianni hiring and Hurts pick were widely scrutinized at the times they happened. Even the Barkley signing didn’t get a whole lot of love. And yet, here’s Mr. Roseman celebrating with a second Lombardi Trophy.
