The tragic incident occurred in November 2024
A 19-year-old driver killed in a California car crash that also claimed the lives of two others had a blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit and cocaine in his system at the time, according to multiple reports.
Soren Dixon had blood concentrations of 0.195% and cocaine in him when the Tesla Cybertruck he was driving collided into a tree, killing himself and passengers Jack Nelson and Krysta Tsukahara on Nov. 27, 2024, USA Today, The San Francisco Standard and ABC 7 News reported.
The passengers in the vehicle also had cocaine and alcohol in their systems, according to autopsy and toxicology reports obtained by the outlets. Nelson, 20, reportedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.168%, while Tsukahara, 19, had a level of 0.028%.
An autopsy report and a preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol revealed that Dixon, 19, jumped the curb and crashed into a tree and a wall at around 3:00 a.m. local time in Piedmont by Oakland, USA Today initially reported.
All three victims were severely burned in the crash and died at the scene, per The San Francisco Standard.

Police confirmed at the time that a fourth victim had been injured in the collision and was “hospitalized in stable condition.” The San Fransciso Standard reported that the injured victim was a fourth passenger who was “pulled from the Cybertruck by a motorist.”
The fourth victim was identified by his mother, Samantha Miller, as her 20-year-old son, Jordan Miller, a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, per USA Today.
Dixon, Nelson and Tsukahara were graduates from Piedmont High School, the outlet reported. Dixon reportedly attended the University of Southern California, Nelson attended the University of Colorado Boulder and Tsukahara was a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Piedmont Police said in a press release posted on Facebook in December 2024, “Our hearts remain heavy in the aftermath of the tragic vehicle collision,” adding: “We are grateful for the community’s incredible support.”

It is believed that the late victims were home for Thanksgiving break at the time of the incident, The San Francisco Standard reported.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, Feb. 15.
