Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show was packed with action, but while he had his fair share of supporters, he also had just as many critics.
Three years ago, at the Super Bowl in Los Angeles, Kendrick made his Super Bowl debut on the halftime show hip-hop dream team of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
On Sunday, he had the stage for himself.
The Compton-born Pulitzer Prize winner gave Samuel L. Jackson, Sza, and Serena Williams airtime throughout the show.
Despite how anybody feels about it, he is not done entertaining fans.Following their triumphant Super Bowl halftime performance, Kendrick Lamar and SZA announced new dates for their “Grand National” tour.The duo will visit 13 stadiums across Europe and the United Kingdom this summer, after the tour crosses North America in the spring.

Kendrick Lamar sent the internet into a frenzy following his Super Bowl LIX halftime show at Caesars Superdome, which featured special guests Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams.
Playing the biggest stage in the game at the Super Bowl halftime show, Kendrick became the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl.
“So for me, this [means] everything, because it puts the culture on the forefront where it needs to be, and not minimized to just a catchy song or verse. This is a true art form, so to represent it on this type of stage is, like, everything that I’ve worked for and everything that I believe in. As far as the culture, I live and die by it. This s—t done changed my whole family’s life, so I don’t take it for granted at all.”
