“Pretty fantastic halftime show,” Ohanian wrote on X
Serena Williams‘ husband, Alexis Ohanian, enjoyed the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show a little bit more than usual this year.
During the 2025 championship game, Ohanian, 41, took to X to share his reaction to the halftime show starring Kendrick Lamar. To the whole arena’s surprise, Williams — who briefly dated Lamar’s rival, Drake — made an unexpected cameo during the anticipated performance.
The tennis star, 43, did a crip walk — the energetic dance move made famous by the Los Angeles Crips in the 1970s — on the field while sporting a blue mini skirt, jacket and matching sneakers. The moment was a recreation of her iconic dance after defeating Maria Sharapova at the 2012 London Olympics.
“Pretty fantastic halftime show,” Ohanian wrote in a post on X.

His response to the performance was threaded in a series of posts, which captured his excitement for musical performance. “Kendrick Bowl is about to Kickoff,” he wrote before the football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs officially got under way.
Later he added, “Halftime show about to start and no one has left their seats.”

After dancing to Lamar’s Grammy-winning single “Not Like Us” — a diss track aimed at Drake, 38 — Williams shared a video of herself on Instagram practicing the controversial moves. “Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little! 💃🏿,” she captioned the post.
In a video from backstage, later shared to X, the retired athlete reviewed her own performance. “Man I did not crip-walk like that at Wimbledon. Oh, I would’ve been fined,” Williams said, adding, “It was all love.”
