Taylor Swift did not receive the best reception when she came up on the jumbotron during Super Bowl 59 on Sunday night.
Speaking of receptions, her guy Travis Kelce didn’t have that many either, making four catches for 39 yards in the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Eagles.
Travis and Taylor did not get to enjoy a happy ending this time around, with the Chiefs falling short in their chase of a three-peat. The singer was also booed when she was shown on the big screen at Caesars Superdome while the game was going on.
According to Ari Meirov, who shared a video of the moment, she had a three-word question.
The clip below shows Swift appearing to ask, “What’s going on?” while boos ring out.
Taylor Swift Shouldn’t Have Expected Anything Less
Of course, Swift shouldn’t have been surprised, given that Eagles fans took over the stadium for the game and outnumbered the Chiefs supporters.
As for Travis, many expect the star tight end to retire after his poor 2024 season with the Chiefs. The 35-year-old’s powers appear to have waned as he looked a shell of himself against the Eagles, who exposed all of KC’s’ deficiencies with a surgical performance on Sunday.
Kelce still has a year remaining on his contract after signing a two-year, $34.25 million deal that made him the highest-paid TE in the league in 2024.
Time will tell what he chooses to do.
