More Heartbreaking Information Surfaces On Young Female Patient Who Lost Her Life In Philadelphia Air Ambulance Crash

Additional information regarding the patient who lost her life in Friday’s tragedy has surfaced in the wake of the horrific air ambulance crash in Philadelphia.

NBC Philadelphia is reporting that one of the six people involved in the deadly incident was a pediatric patient, which suggests she was very young. The girl, a Mexican national, had received treatment for a life-threatening illness in the U.S. and was flying back to Tijuana with her mother, a doctor, and a paramedic.

There were two pilots in the cockpit.

“All I can say is, the patient was sponsored by a third-partner charity to undergo life-saving treatment in the U.S.,” Jet Rescue Air Ambulance spokesman Shai Gold told NBC Philadelphia. “She did her course of care. She was going home.

“She fought quite a lot to survive, and unfortunately, this tragedy on the way home,” he added.

Knowing this makes the incident even more devastating as the young girl had fought through her medical ordeal only to perish in a plane crash on her way home.
