VIDEO: Footage Emerges Of Scary Play That Resulted In Alabama A&M LB Medrick Burnett Jr. Getting Put On Life Support Amid Inaccurate Reports Of His Death

Footage of Medrick Burnett Jr.’s collision has surfaced online following Alabama A&M announcing his death before retracting their statement.

The Bulldogs linebacker is on life support following a clash of helmets during a game against Alabama State at the Magic City Classic in late October. The school initially reported that he had passed away a month after the injury, but it turns out he’s still alive.

You can see footage of the incident in question below, though it’s unclear how Burnett was injured so significantly.

“Our staff acted accordingly to the wishes of the family member to inform the A&M community and beyond of this unfortunate occurrence. Upon hearing from a representative from UAB hospital this afternoon, we learned that he remains alive,” the Alabama A&M athletic department said in a statement on Wednesday evening.
